The location here is stunning and ideal, situated right in the center of everything, and we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a room with a queen-sized bed, a private safe, a minibar, and central heating.

The room had a nice, open feel and was super quiet. It was equipped with a fridge, a washing machine, and even some glasses. I was thrilled to find a bathtub in there, a real bonus for me! 🛁

My stay at Hotel Rural Las Longueras, was all I expected. Peaceful, apart from the chickens and dogs, though they weren't a problem. The hotel is set in a beautiful valley. The hotel itself is accessed by a long and windy dirt track, meaning you hear little road noise at any time. The hotel itself is old and retains much of its original features, but with modern en-suite facilities. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, though if you don't take a Spanish phrase book with you, the experience could become humorous at times! Be aware that very few locals, even in the cafes, speak any English, so be prepared! The hotel has several uneven steps and surfaces, so could be unsuitable for those guests with limited mobility. The gardens are large and include orange groves and a cactus garden, with huge tree-like cactus. All day you hear the twittering of sparrows, tits and doves in the trees and shrubs. During our visit a large tree with stunning blue flowers was in bloom. I'd never seen one like it before and only saw one other in the town of Agaete. Lunch and dinner are available in the hotel, on request. The meals were well cooked family type meals. The newest addition to the hotel is an excellent swimming pool, surrounded by orange trees and shady palms. We never had a problem getting sun-loungers, though the hotel was fully occupied. Emma, the hotel cat took a shine to me, or possibly the treats I slipped her...

I had relaxing days staying at this characterful hotel. Everything was perfect, wonderful location adjacent to a beautiful valley amongst palm trees as well as the nearby harbour, EXCELLENT staff. The room was reasonably large and unique with an exceptional view of the mountains. Greatly enjoyed the location to the coast or village. I ate in the tapas restaurant nearby.

We travelled with teenage daughters and all the family loved the red house with its wonderful garden and the wild mountains peaking above! The girls adored their room with old-fashioned furniture and romantic view, and also enjoied the pool among palm trees and lime bushes. The staff was helpful and friendly, and breakfast on the terrace was excellent. The place offers tranquility and good opportunities for walking in an amazing landscape.
One should be aware that the house is old and the interior does not fit into a modern standard in every sense. Floors are quirky, and windows may be hard to open. Also, we had only cold water in our room. After talking to the reseptionist, however, we got a lovely and much larger room without any fuss. It should be easier to order supper on the arrival day. The existing system makes it neccessarry to order the meal in the morning, which is bad for people arriving in the afternoon. We had to drive to the port town to have a meal - not a bad option regarding the menu, but a little bit tiresome after a long drive beforehand and on dark and narrow roads.

Beautiful garden, kind staff (partly), original rooms
The reception is only open from about 10.00 - 16.00, The shower is poor for a hotel from this kind, Wi-Fi is horrible, The price is about 50% to high; a price from about € 70,- per room is reasonable, not € 105,-

Beautiful building set in the Agaete valley and so you definitely need a car as it is about 2 miles from the small town. The staff were very helpful even if they did not speak English.
Cockerels crowing from very early on in the morning, and depending on whether they are outside your window or elsewhere, can be very loud if your window is open. Breakfast was continental style buffet, but it does become a bit repetitive if staying for an extended period. We did not feel that dinner at the hotel, although adequate, was worth the money.

It's a very charming, relaxing place in a beautiful green landscape; feels very authentic, nice pool, very friendly staff - in short, surely a place to recommend.
Perhaps the bathroom/shower could use a little update.

The value for money at this hotel was excellent, and our room was comfortable and full of character. The rural location was stunning, surrounded by orange trees, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive.
The breakfast menu could have included more fruit options.
